Classics II: Other Works and Fragmentary Writings
Ideals of the Samurai: Writings of Japanese Warriors by William Scott Wilson and Gregory Lee
This book is a collection of writings by various samurai leaders, collected and translated by Wilson and Lee. In most cases, these writings were testaments meant to be passed on to clan descendants. As the introduction states: "They are statements from warriors to warriors, without the approval of other classes in mind."
